Farshad Khorrami
Professor of Electrical Engineering
Prof. Khorrami was born on January 22, 1962 in Iran. He received the Bachelor's degrees in Mathematics and Electrical Engineering at The Ohio State University, Columbus, OH, in 1982 and 1984, respectively. He received the Master's degree in Mathematics in 1984 and the Ph.D degree in Electrical Engineering in 1988 both from The Ohio State University. He is currently a Professor of Electrical Engineering at Polytechnic University, Brooklyn, New York, where he is director of the Control/Robotics Research Laboratory. His research has been supported by ARO, NSF,ONR, Department of the Army, and NYSERDA.
Areas of Research Interest
Autonomous Unmanned Vehicles, Smart structures, robotics, high speed positioning applications, large scale systems and decentralized control, adaptive and nonlinear systems, flexible structures, and microprocessor based control and instrumentation.
